The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) recently made significant drug seizures and arrests as part of an ongoing investigation into a criminal organization involved in drug distribution.

The SPVM seized 38 kg of cocaine with an estimated value of $1.1 million. Two suspects were apprehended - a 33-year-old individual from Montreal and a 38-year-old from Ontario. Both suspects are scheduled to appear in court to face various drug charges and will remain in custody.
The investigation began in March and has been ongoing since. The criminal organization being investigated was involved in distributing cocaine and other narcotics between the Toronto area and Montreal. Searches were conducted in Milton, Ontario, and in the borough of L'Île-Bizard-Sainte-Geneviève.
Besides the 38 kg of cocaine, the searches led to the seizure of 9 kg of methamphetamine, 5 kg of purple fentanyl, 28,000 speed tablets, various THC-containing products, and close to $1 million in cash. The investigation revealed that the Toronto area was being used as a supply point, with the drugs then being transported to Montreal. Law enforcement agencies are attempting to combat drug trafficking and dismantle the criminal networks involved.
