Wisdom Exchange Project helping adults battle social isolation.

This gives adults of all ages a chance to connect.

Throughout the pandemic, social isolation has been a very severe issue amongst adults of all ages. Canada’s Wisdom Exchange Project aims to help those who have suffered or are suffering from social isolation by connecting graduate students and post-doctoral researchers with older adults in Quebec via phone calls or video calls, creating a great opportunity for an exchange of knowledge. The program seeks to create an online community for intergenerational relationships and social engagement.

Partners are matched based on common interests, language. and more. Once the connection is made, partners are encouraged to meet remotely once a week.

The program is not designed for counseling and does not provide mental support. Its purpose is to create a larger online community and build relationships.
