Corbeille de Pain, which aims to promote the accessibility to healthy foods for West Islanders facing food insecurity is adding an exciting new initiative to their collection of programs.

The weekly community kitchen program creates the opportunity for participants to learn how to cook healthy and delicious meals on a budget. Participants learn in a relaxed environment, and sessions last three hours.

During the workshop, participants get to prepare and share a 3-course meal on-site. It is the perfect opportunity to learn about healthy cuisine and connect with new people. The best part? There are always tons of delicious leftovers to take home!

The workshop takes place in both Dorval (Centre Communautaire Sarto-Desnoyers) and Pointe-Claire (Église St-Coumba-by-the-Lake Presbyterian Church, Église Cedar Park United Church) on Fridays from 10 am to 1 pm.

But, for those who work during the week and cannot make it to the Friday sessions, an additional Saturday workshop has been added once a month from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. To register for upcoming workshops, send an email to corbeilledepain.cuisines@gmail.com or call (514) 894-5850.
