The West Island remains red as Liberal candidates clean up.

Though the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) swept through the province with 1,683,276 votes and wins in 90 ridings, the West Island remains red. The ridings of Nelligan, Robert-Baldwin, and Jacques-Cartier secured a Liberal stronghold.

In the Nelligan district, encompassing Kirkland, L'Île-Bizard-Sainte-Geneviève, and most of the Pierrefonds-Roxboro borough, Liberal incumbent Monsef Derraji re-assumed his riding. In 2018, he amassed 65.12% of the popular vote. During this run, 17,454 votes were cast for Derraji, equivalent to 52.03% of the popular vote.

Robert-Baldwin residents, consisting of Dollard-des-Ormeaux and certain Pierrefonds-Roxboro inhabitants, elected Brigitte Garceau, a first-time candidate. She received 17 224 votes for a victory of 57.76%.

Gregory Kelley won his riding of Jacques-Cartier, where he has been the MNA since 2018. Then, he won with 21,133 ballots cast or 71.81% of the votes. Now he won with a 62.57% majority of 18,158 votes. Pointe-Claire, Beaconsfield, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Baie-D'Urfé and Senneville make up the riding of Jacques-Cartier.

This time around, 4,164,323 votes were cast, and the voter turnout rate was 66%.
