SuperWalk is the largest annual fundraiser for Parkinson Canada. The event has raised over $40 million to fuel research, the creation of support tools, and advocacy for people living with Parkinson's.

George Wall, a long-time SuperWalk participant, and Hudson resident, when asked why he walks for Parkinson Canada stated:"Why do participate in SW? I have never stopped doing it. I started 5 years ago and kept on doing it even through COVID. Last year I just walked with the family at John Abbott College, where the walk is usually held. My son teaches at John Abbott."

George's wife Audrey, son Peter and his family have been walking together for five years and are excited to walk in-person this year. George is a SuperWalker Supreme, having raised almost $3000 this year.

Lisa Mintz, the event's organizer, shared, "My father has Parkinson's. COVID has been really hard on people living with the disease, and I am so happy we will have this chance for the Parkinson's community to get together and do something fun!"

More than 100,000 Canadians live with Parkinson's, a number expected to increase substantially in the coming years, with 30 Canadians diagnosed each day. Parkinson Canada funds critical research, provides information and support, raises awareness, and advocates for improved healthcare outcomes for people with Parkinson's across Canada.
