Changes to the Citizen Card
This change is also accompanied by significant modifications to the citizen card, which will now be split into two distinct cards:
1. Leisure card: Linked to the new Amilia platform, this card will be used to register for leisure and cultural courses and activities, as well as to access Dorval's Aquatic and Sports Complex facilities. It will be available in digital (on your device of choice) and printed formats.
2. Library card: The current citizen card will be used exclusively for borrowing documents and accessing library resources. New: it will now be available in digital format via the Library app. Citizens who wish to do so can continue to renew their printed card each year without any problem.
New registration procedure based on your situation
To facilitate the transition, the City of Dorval has set up a procedure adapted to three possible situations:
For citizens with a valid citizen card: Their file will be automatically transferred to Amilia. On October 18, an email with an activation link will be sent to enable users to set up their account on the new platform. They will have 60 days to do so.
For citizens who already have an Amilia account: Those who already use Amilia to access services from other municipalities will be able to continue using their current account to register for Dorval courses and activities. They will receive a notification indicating that their Amilia account is now linked to the City's platform.
For citizens without an Amilia account or with an expired citizen card: They will need to create a new account on Amilia starting November 1. This account can be created online or in person at our municipal counters, upon presentation of proof of residence to benefit from preferential rates.
Support and guidance for residents
To guide citizens through this transition, the City of Dorval will be offering explanatory videos and step-by-step guides. In addition, an information session is scheduled for November 5 between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Sarto-Desnoyers Community Centre (Room A), during which citizens can receive personalized assistance in creating their account and asking any questions they may have.
