Around 9:15 a.m. on Sunday, July 3, The SQ (Sûreté du Québec) police tried to intercept a vehicle traveling at high speed in the Saint-Zotique area. The driver, a young man under the age of 18, refused to stop and fled.
“The suspect was arrested and later released on a promise to appear. He could face charges of dangerous driving, flight and concealment, ”said SQ spokesman Nicolas Scholtus.
The teenager could face charges of dangerous driving, absconding and receiving stolen goods after being arrested on Sunday following a police chase.
The police finally managed to intercept the vehicle, possibly stolen in Ontario, on the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge.
