📣 Thinking of ways to make a real difference in your community? Now’s the time to step up!
Quebec’s 2025 municipal general elections are just a year away, and the *Tu aimes ton coin, va plus loin!* campaign is encouraging passionate citizens across our beautiful province to consider running for mayor or councilor. This is a unique opportunity to bring fresh perspectives and make a lasting impact in nearly 1,100 municipalities!
The campaign especially hopes to inspire more young people and women to get involved, recognizing the need for new voices. Did you know young people make up 25% of the population but represented only 9.5% of candidates in 2021? The Secretariat for the Status of Women is also backing this initiative, aiming to boost women’s representation in local government.
There are 8,000 positions available, including key roles like regional council wardens. If you’ve ever thought about helping your area thrive, now is the time to start planning your path to candidacy. 🗳️
