Police responded to a 911 emergency call at 11:15 p.m. Thursday evening. The call center indicated that at least one person opened fire in the direction of a residence on 16th Street, near the intersection of 15th Avenue, in the Roxboro district.
Upon arrival in the mainly residential area, officers from the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) found that a house showed traces of projectiles. Shortly after, they found shell casings on the ground.
There were no injuries and no suspects were seen.
The SPVM proceeded to deploy members of its canine unit and forensic identification technicians to gather information that could be useful to its investigators in resolving this case.
