Senior Walk Fundraiser for Nova West Island

Chartwell Residences, Le Wellesley and Manoir Kirkland will be organizing a “Senior Walk” fundraiser from May 24th to June 24th, 2021.

All proceeds from this event will be going directly to Nova West Island, which is a non-profit healthcare organization located in the West Island of Montreal.

All seniors over the age of 55 years are welcome to participate. Seniors may register at one of the 2 participating Chartwell residences listed below. A registration donation of $20 per person will be collected and participants will receive a fundraising information kit (tax receipts are available upon request).

Seniors set their own personal goal. Participants will have an entire month to achieve their goal. It is very important that participants adhere to Covid-19 regulation guidelines when walking. Why Nova?

The pandemic has hurt many organizations, but it has been especially difficult for nonprofit ones like Nova West Island. One of their principal sources of revenue comes from their thrift stores which have had to remain closed for months during quarantine restrictions. As a result, they have been forced to cut back on their support programs for children and adults. This has been very difficult for West Islanders who have already been affected by the many challenges brought on by the pandemic.

Let’s get in shape and make a difference!
