A mobile command post is currently deployed at the scene. Investigators will be present until 5:00 PM today and invite anyone with information or who witnessed the event to come forward.

Around 7:30 PM yesterday, multiple 911 calls reported a man shot on a basketball court located on Roy Crescent near Duff Court Street. The victim, a 27-year-old man, was transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. This marks the 17th homicide of the year. A command post was immediately set up and a security perimeter established to allow investigators to analyze the crime scene.
