Pointe-Claire Horticultural Society Commemorates
90 Years with Garden Tours and a Celebration
The Pointe-Claire Horticultural Society is celebrating its 90th anniversary and invites garden enthusiasts to join them in marking this historic occasion.
First established in 1934 as the Valois Horticultural Society and later becoming the Pointe-Claire Horticultural Society when Valois was incorporated into the City of Pointe-Claire (1942), the ‘PCHS’ is a thriving local garden club with over 130 enthusiastic members brought together by their love of gardening. On July 14th they are inviting the public to join them for an afternoon of garden visits followed by a celebration featuring refreshments, a display of memorabilia and old photographs, information about the club, and a chance to win one of several gorgeous perennial plants donated by the City of Pointe-Claire.
There is no charge to visit the gardens and join in the festivities, however, you must register to participate, before July 4th, by sending your name and contact info to: pteclairehort@gmail.com. Further details will be provided upon registration.
