Passing of DDO Councillor, Colette Gauthier

It is with deep sadness that we announce today the passing of Mrs. Colette Gauthier, Municipal Councillor at the city of Dollard- des-Ormeaux for the last 22 years. In honour of her memory and in order to recognize her valuable contribution and dedication to the residents of District 8 during all these years, the flags at City Hall have been put at half-mast. Through this gesture, we would also like to offer our heartfelt condolences to her family.

At last night’s council session meeting, a moment of silence was followed by a speech by Mayor Alex Bottausci, where he announced the passing of his dear colleague. He described Colette Gauthier as an “outstanding councillor and an outstanding person who was loved and respected by all who had the pleasure of working with her.” “She will be deeply missed by the community,” expressed the mayor.
