There's no denying that the Coronavirus pandemic has brought with it trials, tribulations, and heartache. For seemingly every member of the globe's population, COVID-19 has brought unique challenges and difficulties.

Elderly people have been left to feel isolated, lonely, and fearful of their health. Young adults are missing out on the early years of adulthood, and many young children don't remember a world where mask-wearing and social distancing was not the norm.

That's why West Island mom, Caroline felt the need to create a little positivity in the lives of her daughters, as well as the community.

"The kids were doing online school we had lots of free time on our hands, and I started asking myself: what can we take on that will allow me to connect with my girls?"
- Caroline

The answer? A clothing brand. But not just any clothing brand. In April of 2021, Caroline and her two daughters (now 6 & 11), embarked on a journey to empower and raise awareness through fashion.

Caroline knew that she wanted to give back to her community all the while creating opportunities for education for her daughters, and therefore wanted to create something wearable with a powerful social message.

"We create original designs that make a statement & difference so you can wear them proudly in society! EmPOWER yourself and others!"
- Sweet Society Clothing Co.

All the designs are created by Caroline herself and re-worked by the suggestions and feedback of her two girls. There's truly something for everyone in this collection, and the best part is that the products are affordable. Better still? A portion of the profits benefit social organizations.

The trio's first initiative, which they began designing in September, is an anti-bullying campaign, in line with Pink Shirt Day, which happens annually. This year, Pink Shirt Day is on February 23rd, 2022.

In collaboration with the Youth Stars Foundation a non-profit in the West Island, as well as The Industree, a small business that specializes in customized clothing, inclusivity, and sustainability.

Sweet Society Clothing Co., will be giving back a portion of the proceeds from their latest BYE BYE BULLY COLLECTION to help fund Anti-Bullying School Tours and Programs offered by Youth Stars Foundation. In addition, with the purchases made, Sweet Society Clothing Co. and The Industree will be planting trees to honor the victims of bullying and their memory.

With messages like "Be a buddy, not a bully", "Bully-Free Zone", and "Stop the Bullysh*t", there is truly something for everyone.

The launch of the project has been a massive success, and Caroline and her daughters already have their sights on future projects.

"The response has been heartwarming. Of course, right now, we're keeping things on a very small scale since it's just myself and my girls, but we have three separate pick-up locations for those who choose to place orders."
- Caroline

But anti-bullying is just the beginning for this powerhouse trio. They have their sights set high on continuing to raise awareness of social issues and health issues alike. Cancer, Diabetes, Autism, Crohn's Disease, and more.

Their next venture? A collaboration with The Liam Foundation, a non-profit organization that aims to raise funds in the hopes to establish a research institute and create awareness of mitochondrial disease.
