Montreal, Île-Perrot, and Valleyfield: SPVM Seeks Victims of Michaël Michaud in Ongoing Sexual Assault Investigation

The Montreal Police Service (SPVM) is seeking potential victims of Michaël Michaud, 41. Michaud, who was arrested on July 3, faces multiple charges, including sexual assault and the possession, distribution, and production of child pornography involving several minor victims. The alleged incidents took place between 2011 and 2023 in the following cities: Montreal, Laval, Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Île-Perrot, Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Saint-Clet, and Saint-Polycarpe.

The SPVM's Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Assault investigation teams have strong reasons to believe that Michaël Michaud may have victimized others.

**Modus Operandi**

The investigation revealed that Michaud had been in contact with multiple children over the years. He allegedly befriended families with young children, offering babysitting or mentoring services. It was when he was alone with the children that he is accused of committing sexual acts on them.

Michaël Michaud is a 41-year-old white man who speaks French. He is 1.78 m (5'10") tall and weighs 100 kg (220 lbs). He has brown hair, hazel eyes, and wears corrective glasses. The SPVM has released three photos of the suspect to aid in his identification, as his appearance has changed over time.

**Additional Victims**

Anyone who may have been a victim or knows someone who could have been a victim of Michaël Michaud is encouraged to visit their local police station, call 514-280-8502, or contact 911 to file a formal complaint or make a statement. Those who wish to provide information anonymously and confidentially can do so by contacting Info-Crime Montreal at 514-393-1133 or via the reporting form available on the infocrimemontreal.ca website.

**Unified Investigation and Victim Protection**

Since several victims have been identified, the Serial Crime Investigation Management Structure (GECS) has been deployed. This unified command structure brings together Quebec police services to work in partnership to identify crimes committed by predators and bring them to justice. Coordinated by the Sûreté du Québec, the GECS aims to pool police resources and better protect victims of sexual assault.

The SPVM thanks the public for their cooperation.
