Mini-Libraries are popping up around Pointe-Claire

Courtesy of the City of Pointe-Claire

Six of Pointe-Claire's parks will have a new installation that encourages the community to share their favorite books, magazines, and movies. The city of Pointe-Claire as well as local artists have created themed mini-libraries that can be found throughout the town's parks.

Each mini-library box has its own theme, some were chosen by vote from community members, while others were creations from youth and elderly residents of Pointe-Claire.

The themes for each park are Space Jam at Augusta Park, Imagine a Garden at Hermitage Park, Swimmers at Northview Park, Under the Sea at Ovide Park, Underground Life at Tony-Proudfoot Park, and Whimsical Park at Valois Park.

The Mini-libraries will be a great place to share your and your family's favorite stories as well as discover new ones. The city mentioned that these boxes will work best if all forms of media are in good condition.

It's important to note that these mini-libraries are not to be used as a library book drop off and all documents belonging to the Pointe-Claire Library should be returned there.
