A man was found injured in the Pierrefonds-Roxboro Borough on Friday evening, after 911 calls reported gunshots.
According to initial information from the spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), Véronique Dubuc, the shots would have sounded near boulevards Gouin ouest and des Sources. Several calls were made to 911 around 8:45 p.m.
The victim, a 28-year-old man, was injured in the upper body, but the nature of the injuries, whether they were caused by a knife or bullets, remains unknown.
The condition of the man, who was transported to a hospital, is also unknown.
At the time of publication there were no arrests made.
The event is said to be the result of an altercation between several people near the intersection, the suspect or suspects having subsequently fled.
A perimeter has been erected, casings have been located and investigators and technicians will be on site in the coming hours to determine the causes and circumstances of the event.
