On Thursday, the Uniprix Kirkland off of Saint-Charles officially unveiled their newly renovated pharmacy. Employees and customers of the pharmacy celebrated the end of renovations, which began this summer, as part of the roughly one-million-dollar project.

The prescription counter was redone entirely, as were its systems, and a new nurse's office will allow for more expansive nursing services. The front cash, as well as the post office and cosmetics counter, were remodeled and renovated.

The West Island News spoke to pharmacy owners Marisa Sgro and Pierre Bergeron (President of Groupe GBDA) to discuss Québec pharmacies and their roles within the healthcare system, specifically as frontline providers during the past few years of pandemic responses.
