Kirkland residents may vote for their favourite gardens as part of "Kirkland in Bloom."

For the 3rd year in a row, the "Kirkland in Bloom" contest follows the virtual course set in 2020, which will allow residents to vote online and view the many landscaped gardens in Kirkland. The contest winner will receive a certificate, a participation prize, and an 8" x 10" picture of their property. In addition, winners will receive a trophy specially designed for this year's edition, a plaque with a laminate of their property, and a surprise gift. Not to mention bragging rights.

In previous years, participating properties were evaluated by an independent judge according to certain specific criteria. Since the pandemic, the winners are determined by a popular vote open to all Kirkland residents and cast online over a period of 14 days.

A lawn sign bearing the Kirkland in Bloom 2022 logo is displayed on the front lawn of each participating property to allow easy identification.

From August 29 to September 12, residents may cast their vote here under the "I vote" tab. Every Kirkland household may cast a total of 196 votes over that 14-day period! No need to play favourites amongst your neighbours. The results are entirely up to the voters.

A WORD FROM THE KIRKLAND TOWN COUNCIL

"'Kirkland in Bloom'" is first and foremost a friendly good-neighbourly competition that aims to encourage Kirkland citizens to participate in the collective effort of beautifying our residential sectors, all the while providing a welcome opportunity for all to appreciate and admire the individual end results. This year, we are pleased to applaud the outstanding work of the 95 participants who entered this 7th edition of the 'Kirkland in Bloom' contest."

Time to cast your vote, Kirkland... Best of luck to all!
