Implementation of dynamic traffic management and a new lane configuration on Highway 40 planned for May 27
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility informs you that the progress of interventions on the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge will make it possible to reinstate dynamic traffic management on Monday, May 27. At the same time, a new lane configuration on Highway 40 will be put in place to continue construction work on the new bridge. Furthermore, the bridge will have to be completely closed during the weekend of May 24 to 27 in order to make these important changes.
Traffic management planned from May 27
Return of dynamic traffic management, which will make two of the three lanes available in the direction of traffic during peak periods.
New configuration on the approaches to the bridge, including the maintenance of two traffic lanes per direction on Highway 40:
Between Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants and the bridge;
Between exit no. 35 (Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac/Vaudreuil-Dorion/Avenue Saint-Charles) and the bridge.
In the direction of Montreal, the right lane of Highway 40 will be exclusively reserved for exit no. 35.
