Action Jeunesse de l’Ouest-de-l’Île (AJOI) and Ricochet (Logement / Homes) are proud to announce the purchase of a new van which will travel the streets of the West Island and Lachine moving forward thanks to the financial support of the Caisse Desjardins de l'Ouest-de-Île.

The $25,000 donation will allow organizations to continue their mobile intervention and escort services to Halte-Transition de l'Ouest-de-Île, located at 5100 avenue Château-Pierrefonds in Pierrefonds-Roxboro.

Since the shuttle services began in February 2021, the Halte-Transition team has noted the importance and relevance of having a vehicle that goes out to meet people in dealing with homelessness on the West Island.

Indeed, the shuttle makes it possible to help people directly in the street and to offer them transport to our services if they wish.

Winter is upon us which means this service is essential to meet the needs of West Island's vulnerable populations.
