The Quebec government has officially launched their "Being vaccinated, it’s a win" contest with the goal of rewarding Quebecers who are vaccinated and increase the vaccination rate throughout the province.
In partnership with Loto-Québec, the province has organized two vaccination lotteries, one for adults and the other for young people age 12 to 17.
After receiving your vaccine, you will not automatically be entered into the contest. You must register online if you wish to participate. You only need to register one time.

For adults, there will be four weekly draws for cash prizes of $150,000 for people entered that have received their first dose of vaccine. On September 3, 2021, a grand prize draw for a $1 million prize will be held for people entered after receiving 2 doses of the vaccine.
The government specifies that "the first dose must have been received before August 3 and the second dose before August 31" to be eligible.
For young people (12 to 17), there will be four weekly draws for two $10,000 scholarships for people entered after receiving their first dose of vaccine. On September 3, 2021, a draw for sixteen scholarships of $20,000 each will be held for people age 12 to 17 after receiving 2 doses of vaccine.
The names of the winners will be announced Tuesdays after the draw, at 1 p.m.
The province's registration website has been experiencing "technical difficulties" since the launch asking people to "try to register a little later". The health ministry has stated that "due to high traffic, the portal may be unavailable for shorts periods."
More than 360,000 people registered for Quebec’s vaccination lottery in first 24 hours.
