There are some exciting concerts coming up in the West Island area of Montreal this spring! From March 20 to April 13, the Festival de la Voix will be taking place in various venues across Dorval, Beaconsfield, Pointe-Claire, Pierrefonds-Roxboro, Sainte-Geneviève, and Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue.
The festival, which is now in its 11th year, will feature a variety of concerts, workshops, and school performances celebrating the power of music and the human voice. The festival headliner this year is Quebecoise star Martine St-Clair, who will be performing on Wednesday, March 20.
Other performers include Nadia Di Lauro and her band, folk-blues singer and songwriter Rob Lutes, jazz singer Karen Young, and male vocal quartet QUARTOM. The festival will also feature a special free concert by Connie Kaldor on April 19.
In addition to the concerts, there will be three exceptional workshops: "The Voice Across the Lifespan: Unveiling Medical and Technical Challenges" on March 16, "Dance and Sing with DNR" on March 30, and "Gospel and the Greater Good" on March 30. The Festival de la Voix is all about bringing the community together to celebrate the beauty and power of the human voice.
