Eleven Assault Rifles and 10,000 Rounds of Ammunition Seized in DDO, Pointe-Claire, and Vaudreuil During a Raid on a Drug Trafficking Network

**Montreal, May 30, 2024** – The SPVM (Montreal Police Service) seized 11 military-style weapons, 10,000 rounds of various ammunition, and nearly 13,000 methamphetamine pills during a raid targeting a drug trafficking network in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Pointe-Claire, and Vaudreuil-Dorion. Three men aged 33, 43, and 48 were arrested.

The searches also uncovered two kilograms of cocaine, 380 grams of crack, $15,000 in cash, and various other drugs. The suspects are believed to belong to a network that distributed significant quantities of drugs weekly.

The West Narcotics Section launched an investigation after receiving information about the suspects. Using various investigative techniques, the team quickly identified the locations used by the group.

After gathering sufficient evidence, an operation was planned to arrest the trio. Support from the Sûreté du Québec Tactical Intervention Group and the SPVM was requested to carry out the raids.

The three arrested individuals are expected to appear in Montreal court today to face numerous charges related to drugs and firearms possession. Two suspects will remain in custody pending further legal proceedings, while the third was released under strict conditions.

The SPVM prioritizes investigations involving firearms, as each seizure potentially prevents numerous violent crimes.
