With over 10 million electric cars on roads around the world, new innovation has arrived to implement electric engines into yellow school buses. West Island based transportation company, Transport Scolaire Champlain, is responsible for implementing electric school buses in the territory of Montreal's West Island. The buses serve the students of the Marguerite-Bourgeoys service centre and may be spotted anywhere from Pointe-Claire to Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue.
The West Island News's Dario De Felice spoke with Hela Labene, the owner of the bus company, to learn more about the plan to implement electric school buses into the school transportation system.
