If you're not sure what to do with your real Christmas tree now that the holidays are over, this list will help you dispose of it based on your city.
The tree pick-up for Dorval will take place Wednesday, January 12th. Place your tree in front of the house or on the curb. In order for the tree to be properly disposed of all lights, decorations and nails must be removed.
The tree pick-up will take place from January 9th to 14th. Just like other cities, the trees must be stripped from all lights and decorations. The tree collection for residents in Pointe-Claire will start on January 12th at 7 am. They will be going door to door picking up the trees that have been left outside. There are a few exceptions to the pick-up, the trunk diameter must not exceed 13 centimetres (5 inches) and the height must not exceed 2.5 metres (8 feet). The city of Pointe-Claire asks for the trees to be placed horizontally and not upright in the snow.
For those in Pierrefonds, Lachine and Ile Bizarre the trees must not have any decorations. The dates for the pick-up are based on the postal code that you must enter here . If you miss the pick up date then the tree can be dropped of at your nearest écocentre.
