Chevrolet Cup 2024 hits Vaudreuil-Dorion this April




The Chevrolet Cup 2024 is set to welcome women's ice hockey players from across Quebec to the Provincial Women's Hockey Championships, organized by Hockey Québec and the Hockey Lac St-Louis committee. The event will see the participation of 162 women's teams comprising nearly 2,500 players, from April 11 to 14, 2024, with 313 matches to be played across seven designated competition sites. The Vaudreuil-Dorion arena will host the M13A and M13AA teams. Glen Maxheleau, the regional coordinator of the 2024 Chevrolet Cup - women's division, expressed his pleasure in launching the activities of the Chevrolet Cup and thanked Hockey Québec for entrusting them with the championship for a second consecutive year.


The competition brings together the best teams in Quebec, from the U11 to Junior divisions, to compete for top honours in the provincial competition. Jean-Pierre Fortier, President of Hockey Lac St-Louis, expressed his gratitude to all those who took part in organizing the event and said that all preparations have been designed to offer a warm welcome to players, spectators, officials, dignitaries, and volunteers, worthy of the provincial championships.


The event will be presided over by François Hamel, Honorary Provincial President and Regional Director for Eastern Canada (Chevrolet), and Kim St-Pierre, Regional Honorary President and member of the Hockey Hall of Fame. Stéphane Auger, Hockey Québec's Executive Director of Hockey Operations, acknowledged the sustained involvement of several hundred volunteers from the Lac St-Louis region and expressed his gratitude for their major involvement in organizing the Provincial Championships and promoting women's hockey through this competition. Steven Palmieri, District Sales Manager for the Eastern Region and Chevrolet representative, expressed Chevrolet's pride in being associated with Hockey Quebec for a second consecutive year with the Chevrolet Cup. He said that this partnership allows them to put the success of young people at the heart of their interests, and they are happy to support and encourage them to give their best.
