A total of 3,500 tickets will be made available at 10$ apiece.
MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens announced Tuesday that they will open the Bell
Centre to host 3,500 fans for a viewing of Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final vs. the Tampa Bay
Lightning on Wednesday night.
Tickets are $10 apiece and available now. Masks will be mandatory and social distance protocols will be in effect for all those in attendance.
In addition to airing the game itself, which will start at 8:00 p.m. in Tampa, the Bell Centre event will also feature the Canadiens' full pregame opening show that features a special lighting installation from Montreal-based PixMob. Youppi! will also be on hand to entertain the crowd throughout the night.
"In this unprecedented year, the support and passion we've seen from our fans across the city, province and beyond these entire playoffs has been incredibly inspiring to our organization and the players themselves," said France Margaret Belanger, Canadiens Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer. "While we share your disappointment that we can't be hosting crowds at full capacity and conducting formal large-scale outdoor gatherings, we're happy to nevertheless extend access to our building for events such as these so as many people as possible can experience the Stanley Cup Final in the unparalleled setting of our arena."
The TVA Sports French-language national broadcast of Game 2 will be featured at the viewing party, and will be shown in its entirety; doors at the Bell Centre will open at 6:30 p.m.
