Are you looking for a furry friend to adopt? Animatch has you covered. The West Island News is collaborating with the Animatch team to help find dogs a suitable family and forever home.
PRUNELLE-FEMALE-NORDIC MIX- 1 YEAR OLD
Prunelle is the Mom of Melodee, Maximo, and Maize, who have all gone to their forever homes. She is happy and healthy and ready to see what life brings her now. She's looking for an active family that is ready to start from scratch. Prunelle needs good food and lots of exercise. In obedience school, she'll learn to sit, stay, come, and walk on leash. If you can love and commit to this easy-going girl for the next ten to fifteen years, fill out the form and ask for Prunelle.
FREDDY-MALE-HUSKY X- 6 MONTHS OLD
Freddy was adopted from Animatch at eight or nine weeks old, but was recently returned because he's too much with the cat. The little flaws that are cute at eight weeks aren't so endearing at six months. He still jumps on people and his selective hearing generally ignores the word "come." The Animatch crystal ball shows him in obedience classes. Right now, Freddy is an adolescent with puppy manners, but with hard work, patience, and lots of exercise, he could grace your family with his loyal presence for the next ten or fifteen years.
NOAH-MALE- MIXED BREED (THAILAND)- 2 YEARS OLD
Noah was rescued by the Happy Trails Sanctuary Koh Samui in Thailand. We hear that he enjoys long walks, can chew up a toy in the blink of an eye, and steals socks. So put your socks away and get him a sturdy kong. With all the changes and the stressful plane trip, Noah's sense of fun has regressed a little. But it will come back with time and patience. Obedience classes would give his confidence a boost, and he works well for treats. If you think your family is the one to give this lovely boy his first (and last) real home, fill out the form and ask for Noah.
BAILY - FEMALE- BERNESE MOUNTAIN DOG-11 MONTHS OLD
Baily was adopted by a large family that included an infant. They had underestimated the work involved in raising a young dog, and made the difficult decision to find her another home. Like many large-breed dogs, Baily has hip dysplasia. She doesn't need surgery at this time, but she will be getting cartrophen injections at $100.00 each. These will go from weekly to monthly after the first month. If she stays at her optimal weight and gets daily exercise, she could have a long, comfortable life. She is shy and anxious and takes a while to warm up. Her size and lack of training mean that she should only live with older, sturdy children. She gets along with other dogs and would enjoy living with a well-balanced sibling. Animatch is looking for an experienced family who will commit to Baily for the rest of her life.
