Another program that is ongoing with the hopes of expanding to more West Island schools, is the Emotional Management program. They are looking to hire more facilitators in the near future as to offer this program to multiple schools within their territory at no cost to the schools. After completing the program, teens can expect to have a clear sense of how to regain control of their lives and manage expectations.
The program helps teens develop and maintain the following:
Self-worth and positive relationships with others,
Effective coping strategies when dealing with difficult situations,
An understanding of their emotions and how they impact their lives,
An understanding of how their emotions are affecting their relationships with others.
