"Aid for Seniors" program connects seniors to young students for help with chores.

The "Aid for Seniors Program" presents a variety of support programs tailored for elderly Pointe-Claire residents, organized and carried out by young students. These tasks encompass a range of activities, including:

  • Clearing safe pathways

  • Light indoor tidying

  • Lawn mowing

  • Trimming hedges

  • Planting flowers

  • Removing weeds

  • Raking

  • Moving bins on collection days, etc.

To be eligible for the aforementioned services, the following requirements must be met:

  • Age 65 or above,

  • Residency in Pointe-Claire,

  • Fulfillment of criteria determined during a home evaluation,

  • Annual income falling below:

    • $26 6052 for 1 person.

    • $37 625 for 2 people.
